Game 3 Recap

April 23, 2018

A beautiful day for baseball as the Brooklyn Tigers faced the Lil' Panthers in game 3 of the Williamsburg Youth Athletic League's Spring Fever Tournament. A rough start for the Tigers costed them the game in the long run. Mathew Greenwood was the starting pitcher, allowing 6 earned runs, 2 hits and 4 walks with one strikeout. In relief for Mathew, came Joseph Gutierrez to take the mound once again allowing 3 earned runs, 4 hits and 4 walks with 8 strikeouts. As for the offense of the Tigers it wasn't the best only 3 runs total. Joseph had 2 singles, one in the 2nd inning and one in the fourth that brought Josedavid  Rodriguez home after his single. Joseph also stole 3rd and home scoring a run. And David Ramirez hits a bomb of a homerun which he scores home safely without a throw. But that wasn't enough to comeback and win the game as Lil' Panthers pitcher Nick leads his team to victory as he throws a complete game allowing 3 earned runs, 3 hits, 1 homerun, no walks, and 9 strikeouts. The Spring Fever Tournament comes to an end with the Tigers holding a record of 1-2.
